Mole Memo — End User License Agreement (EULA)
This End User License Agreement ("Agreement") governs your use of the Mole Memo software ("Software"). By downloading, installing, running, or using the Software, you acknowledge that you have read this Agreement and agree to be bound by its terms.
1. Purpose
This Agreement sets out the scope of the license granted, intellectual property rights, prohibited acts, data handling principles, data management responsibilities, disclaimers, and termination conditions.
2. License Grant
1. Developer dobee1018-ai ("Licensor") grants you a non-exclusive, non-transferable, royalty-free license to use the Software under the terms of this Agreement.
2. You may use the Software for personal use or internal work assistance as a note-taking tool.
3. All copyright and intellectual property rights in the Software — including source code, executables, designs, images, characters, icons, text, resources, and other components — remain with the Licensor.
4. This Agreement does not transfer ownership or copyright of the Software to you. Only the usage rights explicitly granted herein are conveyed.
3. Restrictions
Without the Licensor's prior written consent, you may not:
- Copy, modify, translate, distribute, sell, rent, transfer, sublicense, or provide the Software (in whole or in part) to third parties.
- Bundle or integrate the Software into paid services, commercial products, advertising programs, or third-party services without authorization.
- Create and distribute derivative works based on the Software, or generate revenue from such works.
- Reverse-engineer, decompile, or disassemble the Software, or attempt to extract its source code, internal structure, algorithms, or resources.
- Remove or alter copyright notices, license text, developer credits, or security-related markings in the Software.
- Use the Software for malware, spam, illegal data storage, infringement of others' rights, or any purpose that violates applicable law.
- Use the Software in a manner that damages the Licensor's reputation, credit, or rights.
Violation of this section may result in immediate termination of your license and, if necessary, legal action by the Licensor.
4. Privacy & Local Data
1. Notes, text, images, and other user data created in the Software are stored locally on your device or in a location you specify.
2. The Licensor will not collect, access, store, share, or transmit your note contents or personal data to external servers without your explicit consent.
3. If future updates introduce network-based features (e.g. update checks, error reporting, cloud sync), the data processed by those features will be disclosed separately in an updated privacy notice.
4. If you use external storage, cloud services, shared folders, or backup software to store or share Software data, you are responsible for compliance with those services' terms.
5. Data Backup Responsibility
1. The Software is a local tool designed to help you take and manage notes.
2. You are responsible for regularly backing up important notes, images, settings, and other data to a safe location (external drive, cloud service, etc.).
3. Data loss or corruption may occur due to hardware failure, OS errors, storage damage, virus infection, forced termination, power loss, user error, file deletion, or conflicts with other software.
4. Except in cases of the Licensor's willful misconduct or gross negligence, the Licensor is not liable for data loss, unrecoverable data, business interruption, or loss of expected profits arising from your failure to maintain backups.
6. Disclaimer of Warranties
1. The Software is provided "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE."
2. The Licensor makes no warranty that the Software is fit for any particular purpose, free from errors, operable in all environments, or that data will always be preserved safely.
3. The Software may not function correctly depending on your system configuration, Windows version, security software, storage state, permissions, or conflicts with other applications.
4. You assume all risk associated with installing and using the Software in your environment.
7. Limitation of Liability
1. Except in cases of willful misconduct or gross negligence, the Licensor is not liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from the installation, use, inability to use, errors, data corruption, or data loss relating to the Software.
2. Where the Licensor is required by law to bear liability, that liability is limited to the extent permitted by applicable law.
3. The limitations in this section apply only to the extent permitted by mandatory consumer protection or other applicable laws.
8. Updates & Changes
1. The Licensor may provide updates to improve features, fix bugs, enhance security, or reflect policy changes.
2. Whether, when, and what updates are provided is at the Licensor's discretion. The Licensor is not obligated to continue providing any particular update.
3. This Agreement applies to updated versions unless a separate agreement or notice is provided.
4. The Licensor may amend this Agreement and will notify users via the official distribution page, in-app notice, download page, or other appropriate means.
9. Termination
1. Your license terminates automatically, without notice, if you breach this Agreement.
2. Upon termination, you must immediately stop using the Software and delete all copies in your possession.
3. Provisions regarding intellectual property, restrictions, disclaimers, limitation of liability, governing law, and dispute resolution survive termination.
10. Third-Party Components
1. If the Software includes open-source software or third-party libraries, those components are subject to their respective license terms.
2. Where a third-party license conflicts with this Agreement, the third-party license takes precedence for that component.
11. Governing Law & Dispute Resolution
1. This Agreement is governed by the laws of the Republic of Korea.
2. In the event of a dispute, the parties will first attempt resolution through good-faith negotiation.
3. If negotiation fails, disputes will be submitted to the competent court as determined by applicable civil procedure law.

By downloading, installing, or running Mole Memo, you confirm that you have read and agree to the terms of this End User License Agreement (EULA).
